First release of Apertif imaging survey data

چکیده

Context. Apertif is a phased-array feed system for the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope, providing forty instantaneous beams over 300 MHz of bandwidth. A dedicated survey program utilizing this upgrade started on 1 July 2019, with last observations taken 28 February 2022. The imaging component provides radio continuum, polarization, and spectral line data. Aims. Public release data critical maximizing legacy survey. Toward that end, we describe products from first year operations, through 30 June 2020. In particular, focus defining quality control metrics processed products. The SAMI Galaxy Survey: early data release and first science

The Sydney–AAO Multi-object Integral field spectrograph (SAMI) Galaxy Survey is an ongoing project to obtain spatially resolved spectroscopic observations of ∼3400 galaxies by mid-2016. To date, a total of ∼1000 galaxies have been observed, making the SAMI Galaxy Survey the largest integral field survey in existence. In July 2014 the early data release for the SAMI galaxy Survey occurred, with ...

DAMPED Ly α SURVEY : DATA RELEASE 3

We present the results from a damped Lyα survey of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, Data Release 3. We have discovered over 500 new damped Lyα systems at z > 2.2 and the complete statistical sample for z > 1.6 has more than 600 damped Lyα galaxies. We measure the H I column density distribution fHI(N,X) and its zeroth and first moments (the incidence lDLA and gas mass-density Ω DLA g of damped Lyα...

Northern Sky Variability Survey: Public Data Release

The Northern Sky Variability Survey (NSVS) is a temporal record of the sky over the optical magnitude range from 8 to 15.5. It was conducted in the course of the first-generation Robotic Optical Transient Search Experiment (ROTSE-I) using a robotic system of four comounted unfiltered telephoto lenses equipped with CCD cameras. The survey was conducted from Los Alamos, New Mexico, and primarily ...

The first WASP public data release

The WASP (wide angle search for planets) project is an exoplanet transit survey that has been automatically taking wide field images since 2004. Two instruments, one in La Palma and the other in South Africa, continually monitor the night sky, building up light curves of millions of unique objects. These light curves are used to search for the characteristics of exoplanetary transits. This firs...

Lyman Break Galaxy Candidates in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey First Data Release

We report the discovery of six compact, starburst galaxy candidates with redshifts 2.3 < z < 2.8 and r-band magnitudes 19.8−20.5 in the Quasar Catalog of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey First Data Release (SDSS DR1). The SDSS spectra of these objects resemble the composite spectrum of Lyman Break Galaxies (LBGs) at z ≈ 3 (albeit with some differences and broader spectral lines), but the systems ar...
